Problem Note 63830: The EXPORT procedure with the DBMS=SPSS option in SAS® 9.4M5 creates SAV files that are larger in size than expected
In SAS® 9.4M5 (TS1M5), you might notice that file sizes for SAV files are larger than expected.
This issue has been observed when you submit a PROC EXPORT statement with the DBMS=SPSS option in a SAS session that uses the Latin1 encoding value.
The workaround is to use UTF-8 encoding.
